Twin mirror ending explained5/2/2023 ![]() ![]() Another important detail is that Dan is constantly cheating on his wife and while everybody knows it, Amy likes to pretend it’s not happening. ![]() She has nightmares all the time and has depression as well. On the other hand her mother Amy is very mentally unstable. He expects everything to be perfect which puts a lot of pressure on Maria. He is a plastic surgeon and is very particular about everything. Her father Dan is rather distant and spends a lot of time doing his own work. She is often very quiet and reserved at home as she does not feel comfortable with them. When Maria goes back home she has to endure another dinner with her parents. Maria has a hard time seeing Lilly jump all over Sean and she is very jealous. This guy is called Sean and Maria secretly has a crush on him. Lily is pretty popular in school and also she has a boyfriend. Maria often spends time alone in school, she just puts on her headphones and listens to music. Lily is very cold towards Maria and she mostly just uses her. She often spends time with a girl called Lily. Maria actually has one friend, well they are barely friends. They do not want to spend any time with her and are cruel for seemingly no reason. When Maria gets on the bus to school almost immediately she starts to get bullied by the students. In school she is basically an outcast and nobody cares for her. This student is very rude to Maria but she has already gotten used to it. Maria then leaves her house to go to school.Īs soon as she leaves her home Maria lights up a cigarette and is met by one other female student. Maria comes down for breakfast and her family eats in silence. While she goes to school and has parents, it’s far from perfect. Maria is 17 years old and has a pretty normal life. ![]() We see her getting ready for high school in front of a mirror. We now go into the present and are introduced to Maria Brennan. At first it seems totally normal but suddenly one of the babies gets more aggressive and its turns into a nightmare. The drama is all bright and white, the novel would feel all dark and black. The story begins with a sonogram of two twin babies. The novel is totally polar opposite in terms of mood and lighting in comparison to the drama. If you are ok for reading dark fantasy, go for it. Zhan Lan was actually my most favorite character from the drama. In the novel, they don't even have much screen-time, so had they kept too the novel's script it would have been ok-ish, but it became pretty awkward when they added so much romantic scenes that didn't exist and they OP didn't really blast chemistry towards each other. The main couple doesn't have much chemistry in the drama. It's very loosely based on the novel, but enjoyable to a level. Half way in, I went to read the novel, but needed to take many breaks in between (not finished reading it yet). Since I was familiar with the story (having read the novel's sequel), I gave it a try knowing it would be totally different anyways. Is the novel worth a try? Does the series follow the novel? I saw comments that there is a novel it is based on. I didn't feel much for the acting of the main pair. Twin brother Su No 's return seemed pointless for the most part. the way it went I felt more pity for the sea king and then for the crown prince but not that much for the female lead. The moment he fell in love with the woman engaged to another, he was doomed. Seems like a sea king's sacrifice mostly an emotional decision because he couldn't live without her and that was all to it. ( due to removing seal on dragon or due to Sea king waking her up forcefully) And then she did nothing much with her life but fantasizing about the king at then end. She only lost her memories temporarily and that too was ambiguous why it was lost. But it is the sea kin paid the price by dying instead of Bai Ying herself. Opening the second seal on the trapped dragon needed Bai Ying to lose something. Towards the end, series couldn't engage me. But I cannot remember if the 6 kings opened it finally and cannot motivate myself to watch those last episodes right now. Su mo disguised as the crown prince and beat the villain back injuring him. Did you like it to the end?ĭid they wake up those 10000 people sleeping for a century? The opening process was disturbed by the old villain and his selfish lackey. I hope some of you have watched this series. ![]()
